Chers amis de la galerie,

Depuis 35 ans, de l’Ile Saint Louis à la Bastille, la galerie a présenté les plus grands : Warhol, Le Parc, Cruz Diez, Féraud, Pavlos, Rotella, Vostell, Kacere et tant d’autres.

À la suite d’un sondage récent, j’ai découvert que la notoriété de la galerie devait autant aux jeunes artistes que j’ai présentés et accompagnés au cours des années: Meynard, Fraser, Lukaschewski, Yoo Sun Tai, Olivier Heinry, qu’aux artistes de renommée internationale avec lesquels j’ai travaillé.

C’est pourquoi j’ai décidé pour redynamiser la relation de la galerie avec ses amis collectionneurs, amoureux de l’art, découvreurs, de présenter chaque année avant l’été 5 jeunes artistes dont le travail m’a séduit dans une exposition à laquelle j’aurai le plaisir de vous inviter le 20 mai 2008 sous le titre :

ILS ONT DE L’AVENIR
5+ artistes à découvrir.

J’espère ainsi maintenir la tradition de la galerie qui est de découvrir et de faire découvrir, et qui sait d’être peut-être complice de ce que sera demain l’histoire de l’art.

Dear friends of the gallery,

For 35 years, from Ile Saint Louis to Bastille, the gallery has presented the some of the greats: Warhol, Le Parc, Cruz Diez, Féraud, Pavlos, Rotella, Vostell, Kacere and many others.

In the wake of a recent survey, I discovered that the reputation of the gallery was as much due to all the young artists I presented and accompanied over the years: Meynard, Fraser, Lukaschewski, Yoo Sun Tai, Olivier Heinry, as well as to the internationally renowned artists with whom I have worked.

That is why I have decided to reinvigorate the relationship of the gallery with its friend collectors, art lovers and discoverers with an annual pre-summer presentation of 5 young artists whose work has seduced me, and this in an exhibition to which I have the pleasure to invite you on May 20th 2008 entitled:

THEY HAVE FUTURE
5 artists to be discovered.

I hope to maintain the tradition of the gallery, which is to discover and to let be discovered, and possibly be complicit in what will be tomorrow's art history.
